Ekiti Bees, the under-17 male team of Ekiti FA was created in December 2019 after a selection of 40 players from Governor's cup which was christened Dr. John Kayode Fayemi football competition, also known as JKF Youth Cup earlier in 2019.

Ekiti Bees is expected to represent the state at all national football tournaments and play in international youth competitions. It was created as a platform to expose talents to national and international scouts.
